The green heartbeat of Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka felt like a warm embrace from the very first moment. The scent of spices, the sound of honking tuk‑tuks and the smiles of the locals — everything felt vibrant and welcoming. Our journey began in Kandy, where we visited the sacred Temple of the Tooth. The atmosphere was serene, almost magical.
From Kandy, we took the famous train to Ella. The ride wound through endless tea plantations, rolling green hills and small villages where children waved at us with bright smiles. It felt like traveling through a living painting. In Ella, we hiked up Little Adam’s Peak and were rewarded with a view we’ll never forget.
In Udawalawe National Park, we saw wild elephants up close. A mother and her calf crossed the road slowly, while our guide quietly explained their behavior and habitat. It was a moment that touched us deeply — so pure and untouched.
We ended our journey on the southern coast, enjoying quiet beaches, fresh seafood and colorful sunsets. We met a local fisherman who shared stories about life by the sea. His words made us appreciate the island even more.
Sri Lanka surprised us with its diversity, warmth and hospitality. Thanks to Wanderly Travel, we were able to explore the island in a way that felt personal, relaxed and unforgettable.
